Annie France Noël est une artiste visuelle, photographe et travailleuse culturelle. Sa pratique se situe à la frontière de l'invisible et de l'indicible, explorant l'intimité et la vulnérabilité. Depuis son entrée en matrescence, elle s'intéresse plus particulièrement à la complexité de la parentalité contemporaine, travaillant à partir d'un cadre autothéorique et de pratiques transdisciplinaires qui incluent la photographie, la performance vidéo, les processus artisanaux et l'installation.
Son travail aborde de manière critique les dimensions culturellement passées sous silence de la parentalité, à travers lesquelles elle interroge les récits dominants entourant l'identité, le genre, l'autonomie corporelle, la production de connaissances et la violence, révélant comment les expériences intimes sont façonnées par des structures institutionnelles plus larges.
La formation d'Annie France a été nourrie par son implication au sein de multiples communautés et organisations culturelles. Elle a notamment siégé au conseil d'administration de CARFAC National pendant six ans et a occupé le poste de directrice générale du centre d’artistes Galerie Sans Nom de 2014 à 2023 (en co-direction avec Rémi Belliveau de 2014 à 2018).
Depuis, elle se consacre à sa pratique ainsi qu’à son travail de photographe et d’éducatrice. Son travail artistique lui a valu plusieurs distinctions notables; elle a été finaliste à trois reprises du New Generation Photography Award et a remporté la médaille de bronze en photographie aux VIIIe Jeux de la Francophonie à Abidjan, en Côte d'Ivoire.

Annie France Noël is a visual artist, photographer, and cultural worker. Her practice unfolds at the interstice of the invisible and the inexpressible, exploring intimacy and vulnerability. Since entering matrescence, she has focused more specifically on the complexities of contemporary parenthood, working through an autotheoretical framework and transdisciplinary studio practices that include photography, video performance, artisanal processes, and installation.
Her work critically engages with culturally silenced dimensions of parenthood, through which she interrogates dominant narratives surrounding identity, gender, bodily autonomy, knowledge production, and violence, revealing how intimate experiences are shaped by broader institutional structures.
Annie France's education has been shaped by her involvement in multiple cultural communities and organizations. She notably served on the board of directors of CARFAC National for six years and stewarded the artist-run Galerie Sans Nom from 2014 to 2023.
She has since been devoting her time to her practice and to her work as a freelance photographer and educator. Her artistic work has earned her several notable distinctions; she has been a finalist on three occasions for the New Generation Photography Award and was awarded the bronze medal in photography at the VIIIe Jeux de la Francophonie in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
